Bridge chapter guide

Is an EO bridge chapter right for you?

A short, plain guide from the EO Diamond Bridge Chapter for EO members and alumni weighing their options.

What a bridge chapter is

A bridge chapter is an EO chapter organized around members rather than a single city. Diamond Bridge brings experienced members together through virtual global forums, a learning and social calendar and two in-person retreats a year.

Who it suits

Members who are relocating

Your forum and friendships do not have to reset when your address changes.

Members who live in several countries

Forums are matched to your time zone, not to a single city.

Tenured leaders

Five or more years in EO and leadership beyond the local level, looking for peers at the same stage.

Qualifying alumni

Members who left EO in good standing after five or more years, including those who have sold their business.

How it compares with staying in a local chapter

  • A local chapter meets where you live. Diamond Bridge meets where your time zone is and gathers in person twice a year.
  • A local chapter mixes members at every stage. Diamond Bridge is selective, built for tenured members with leadership beyond the local level.
  • You do not have to choose. Many members keep their local chapter and add Diamond Bridge.

Primary or secondary membership

Primary: Diamond Bridge is your only EO chapter. Secondary: you stay in your current chapter and add Diamond Bridge alongside it. Either way, you keep your EO Global membership. See dues and requirements.

The steps to apply

  1. Review the membership requirements: tenure, leadership beyond local and a global mindset.
  2. Complete the online questionnaire on the application page.
  3. The Membership Committee and Board review your application.
  4. A member of the Membership Committee follows up with you directly.
