Membership
Envision a chapter that never asks you to be in one place.
Somewhere along the way, your business crossed a border. Then your calendar did. Maybe your family did too.
Where do people like me gather?
EO gave you a forum, a chapter, and a region to lead. It also left you with a question that gets a little louder every year. Where do people like me gather?
The EO Pacific Diamond Bridge Chapter was built for that question.
What the Diamond Chapter is
The Diamond Chapter is a mindset more than a place. It is built for members who live and think as global citizens. We gather in person twice a year, and the rest of the time the chapter travels with you.
A chapter for tenured EO member leaders whose businesses, families and lives span the world, and who want a peer group built the same way. Virtual forums matched to your time zone. Learning and social events shaped around global life. Two in-person retreats a year, planned around travel you are already doing.
How it fits with the chapter you have
You do not have to outgrow EO to want something different from it.
Members keep their EO Global membership, and many stay as involved as they choose in the chapters that shaped them. The Diamond Chapter is your primary and only chapter, or adds an enriching layer to the one you already have.
It is also a door back in
Members who left EO in good standing after five or more years are welcome to apply. That holds true even if you have sold your business.
Who thrives here
Membership is selective by design. The depth of the room depends on who is in it. The Membership Committee and Board look for three things.
Tenure
A minimum of five years as an EO member in good standing. Qualifying alumni are welcome to apply.
Leadership beyond local
A T1 or T2 Regional or Global leadership role within EO. Other qualifying pathways include a T3 role, chairing a qualifying Regional or Global program or event, or attending a Global or Regional Leadership Academy. Leading past the local level gives our members a shared vantage point and a shared language.
A global mindset you actually live
You will recognize yourself in several of these.
- You follow global affairs closely and read widely across borders and perspectives.
- You live as a global citizen. Frequent travel, life far from your birth culture, homes in more than one country, or no fixed geography at all.
- Your closest partnerships cross cultures and continents, in marriage, in business, or both.
- You run or own a business that spans multiple countries, or you are actively planning international expansion.
- You are ready to show up for global EO forums and activities, virtual and in person, and to learn from members across countries and cultures.
The forum experience
Every member joins a global forum, virtual by design and scheduled around the time zones of the people in it. Some forums add in-person retreats. Others stay fully virtual. You will share your preferences when you join so we can match you to the forum that fits your life.
Learning and social events
Learning events focus on personal growth, wellness, life planning and global lifestyle. Social events bring members together for forum-level conversation. The aim is a group of peers who show up for one another.
Retreats
Twice a year the chapter gathers in person. Retreats are planned around existing regional and global events so they fold into travel you have already booked.
